Featured ArticleThe Bacta War refers to the military and political conflict between Ysanne Isard and the New Republic following the First Battle of Coruscant from Isard's forces in 6 ABY in the Star Wars series. It was during this period that the members of Rogue Squadron resigned from the New Republic military and independently pursued Isard, who had secured the bacta-producing world of Thyferra. Their efforts were aided by fringers like Booster Terrik and Talon Karrde. The war culminated with the New Republic victory at the Battle of Thyferra. In the aftermath of this victory, Rogue Squadron learned that their resignations had been "creatively misfiled", and that the New Republic had retroactively made the Bacta War an officially sanctioned operation.
